This template produces a link in internal link style. Originally it also produced a "hidden external link", to allow it to be found by Linksearch, which, unlike Special:Whatlinkshere, is specific for the target section. However, for new and refreshed links in external link style to the same wiki the linksearch feature has been abolished (the link in external link style is not added to, or is removed from, the external link table), see mw:Special:Code/MediaWiki/53104.
Therefore the template is kept only for the internal links to keep working on pages using the template.
Usage:
- {{ ml | target_page | optional_anchor | optional_label }}
without "#" at the start of the anchor.
Examples:
- Linksearch with target page Help:Link - no results anymore
- Linksearch with as target the sections of Help:Link starting with "S" - ditto
